I passed a Methodist Church this morning and saw the parental units letting the teens out at the entrance so as to spare the youngsters the shame and humiliation of being seen walking the distance from home plate to first base with mom and dad. I won’t comment on the young man entering church in short pants with unkempt hair–par for the course these days–but I couldn’t help noticing the ubiquitous white cord hanging around his neck that connects the ear buds to the iPod.
In his defense, if memory serves, those Methodist sermons tend to be a bit dry.
