True, the campuses are nearly silent, (Harvard students aren’t being asked to fight the Iraq war, and don’t even have to go to the trouble of getting a slick deferment) or perhaps are engaged in solipsistic battles about LGBT rights. But if “the kids” don’t care about Iraq, at least a powerful, old lefty union does.
