Schooling Scarborough

Posted on December 30th, 2008 by Daniel McCarthy

Guest Zbigniew Brzezinski skewers Joe Scarborough’s “stunningly superficial knowledge” of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in this remarkable clip. It’s about time an adult refused to abide by the playground rules of talk TV, and Scarborough mightily deserves his comeuppance:

  1. Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, it sounds like Scarborough is uneducable. What an idiot.

  2. It’s not often that I’ll find myself taking sides with the old Russophobe and proponent of hegemony, but this is one of those times. Scarborough’s repetition of the question, “What would YOU do if a neighbouring country were firing missiles into your cities?” was not merely tiresome, but an invitation to a smackdown. The answer, obviously, is not, “Something stupid and counterproductive like conducting a bombardment.”

  3. Scarborough is such a buffoon. It is remarkable that he is the only voice of conservative “dissent” from the Bush Admin on popular TV (now that Tucker Carlson is gone.)

His preening recitation of the canard that Arafat walked away from “the best deal he could get” was embarrassing. It’s remarkable that people with brains even go on TV anymore.

  4. That’s nothing. Shepherd Smith will see Scarborough’s stubborn ignorance and raise him one turn at faux-outrage:

  5. Telling Israel to accept being rocketed proves only the idiocy of Carter’s boy, Brzezinski.
Go read the Hamas charter and the Koran Daniel, so you can be schooled.

  6. Oh how the relentless blatherings of the Rons and other pro-Israelis both here and elsewhere in the cyberworld (and beyond) start to become tiresome.

Quite frankly, as an ordinary American citizen, I don’t give a rats’ behind what it says in the Hamas charter. Nowhere in the Constitution does it say (yet) that America or Americans owe Israel a thing, and that includes taking on their problems.

By the way, this Scarborough video was classic. Just classic! Thanks for the find.
