This clever Financial Times graphic provides a clear and helpful breakdown of state budget gaps throughout America. Be warned: it does not look good, unless you happen to be one of these anarchist collapsitarians.

That clever graph shows which states are in trouble because of the effects on the current economy of the Obama-deception.
It does not, however, show which states are at emergency levels because of continuous mismanagement over the last several years.
And some of the graph is simply false. For example, the states, California and Alaska (under Palin, until last week) are painted the same color, when in fact Alaska has a SURPLUS.

States of budgetary collapse…
This Financial Times interactive map of the US showing a state-by-state glimpse of their budget deficits is pretty unsettling — especially if you live in New York or Collyvornia. Turns out Texas and many other Flyover Country states are in……
Barney, it is nothing to crow about that Alaska’s budget surplus or deficit is determined mostly by the world price of oil - something that Alaskans have no control over.
The map shows a deficit for Alaska because at the time it was put together, world oil prices were low. If prices fall, Alaska will again be running a deficit.
@JE - have a cup of coffee, take a deep breath.
I was pointing out liberals on a soapbox. If you can’t see them, you probably admire the emporer’s new clothes.
Focus on something more interesting. Here’s Jim Owens (Caterpiller CEO) on global economy, US economy, and defending Obama’s stimulus bill(s):
