Sibel Edmonds Speaks Out

Posted on September 17th, 2009 by Daniel McCarthy

There’s a new issue of The American Conservative going to press today, and it includes a story that will make more than a few congressmen and foreign lobbyists intensely uncomfortable: an in-depth interview between Phil Giraldi and FBI whistleblower Sibel Edmonds. She tells us exactly how Turkish intelligence have penetrated national secrets, suborned government officials, and blackmailed Congress. It’s going to be explosive.

Also in the issue: Jesse Walker on the five faces of Jerry Brown, the once and (maybe) future governor of California; Kelley Vlahos on where the Taliban gets its money (hint: check your wallet); W. Jams Antle III on the trouble with David Brooks and the reform cons; Lewis McCrary profiles “Christian libertarian environmentalist capitalist farmer” Joel Salatin; and much more. Columns by Buchanan, Kauffman, Reid, and Tushnet. Reviews by Michael Burleigh, William Niskanen, Andro Linklater, John Schwenkler, and Leon Hadar. All this, plus a special tribute to Victor Davis Hanson…

Don’t miss out. You can get the issue mailed to you, and read the whole thing online in PDF form early next week, by subscribing today. And if you’re already a subscriber, give a gift subscription — Constitution Day is an apt occasion.

  1. Turkish intelligence have penetrated national secrets

Much as Uncle Sam has penetrated, er, the national egress, with some among us liking it much more, apparently, than others…

    It’s going to be explosive.

As one expects of any post-penetrative purging; the Return of the Repressed: it’s not just for headshrinkers anymore. [tm]

Also in the issue…W. Jams Antle III…

Also known as “W. James Antle: The Dance Remix”; still, if W. had jammed me - let alone my Antle, or my Uncle - I’d be ill, too, maybe not so much the first or second, perhaps, as the IIIrd time…

Lewis McCrary profiles “Christian libertarian environmentalist capitalist farmer” Joel Salatin

Put that in yer corncob an’ smoke it five times fast and, after the fashion of a tap-dancer turning the flourished-arm gauntlet to his partner, bid Wendell Berry “Top (t)hat!”; now if we could just find to profile a self-designated “Socialist hunter-gatherer neocon strip-mining Antichrist”, and attempt to pass him off as “Crunchy” because he keeps a fishpond in the Antichamber to his conference-room Inferno…

All this, plus a special tribute to Victor Davis Hanson…

VDH - As I live and breathe! I can’t wait - I’m crushing the grapes picked by my semi-legal gardener and manserving right-wing retainer José Convo as we speak…

  2. How explosive is a bomb that goes off in the woods where everyone is deaf?

  3. explosive, but like a tree falling in the forest, will it make a sound outside of the amcon circle.

I am sure MSM will memory hole it. hate to pessmistic, but….

  4. Wow, Scott. That was funny.

  5. Thank you for being one of the few to cover this important story. Sibel Edmonds is one of the unsung heroes of our time. I’ve been following her story and the government gag order placed on her for years. Do a search on her name and you will learn lost more.

  6. Once the Sibel Edmonds story is published, stand by for screed after screed emanating from the Turkish lobby, its official lawyer Bruce Fein [of something called the "Turkish American Legal Defense Group", a legal group so bereft of actionable discrimination against Turks, that their website bewails the marketing of toilet cleaners called "Turks Head" brushes] , and the Assembly of Turkish American Associations [kind of a German-American Bund with Turkish seasoning] and its President Elect, Ergun Kirlikovali [who by the way enjoys the good life in Orange County California and is always willing to do some contract work for Uncle Sam's Navy].

The TCA has already denounced Sibel, because I guess she is more American than their brand of [traitorous] “Turkish- Americans”.

  7. [...] Here’s the teaser from TAC…: [...]

  8. Excellent! I am so glad that TAC is publishing this - now the conservative members of my family will give the story more credence.

I’m gonna have to buy this copy, too… I want it in my personal files.

    ;-)

  9. Well I guess it’s better late than never. I hope The American Conservative goes into all of Sibel Edmonds testimony and reveals that Usama Bin Laden was on the CIA payroll up until 9/11. A great follow up story might be some coverage of the Open Chemical Physics Journal’s peer reviewed scientific paper which concludes that Nano Thermite was discovered in the debris of the WTC towers and WTC 7. Another follow up might be the massive destruction of Able Danger data surrounding the intelligence gathered about activities of the CIA and al Queda prior to 9/11. Even better would be some coverage of the nearly one thousand Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth who have definitive proof of controlled demolition as the means for taking down three skyscrapers in NYC on 9/11. You might as well also cover the War Games being carried out on 9/11 and just prior to the day in which the Air Force was carrying out live hijacking scenarios in the same air space as the purported hijacking of 9/11. In short, I hope and pray that The American Conservative will stand up for our nation and demand a new investigation and expose the truth about 9/11 no matter who the culprits turn out to be.

  10. [...] pick this up tomorrow after I get a look at it. You East Coasters will likely beat me to it. But here’s the teaser from TAC… [2]: There’s a new issue of The American Conservative going to press today, and it includes a [...]

  11. Thank you American Conservative for covering this; I will be buying a copy. Now, if only the so-called ‘liberal’ media would cover her explosive charges, some of which were recently repeated under oath in a now public deposition:

  12. Does any one know what the Turkish word “Yoksuloglu” means? Thanks.

  13. I think Yoksuloglu means “son of someone without anything at all,” i.e. son of a poor man. Don’t know if it means anything else idiomatically. I think it can also be a surname.

  14. Giraldi is right on meaning of the word “Yoksuloglu” and I am not aware of any special idiomatic meaning.

This is the form used for last names. “-oglu” means “son of” and is the equivalent of “-ian or -yan” in Armenian names.

  15. [...] a conservative magazine aptly named, The American Conservative, is essentially the only mid to large sized news/media outlet to report on bribe taking [...]

  16. Bin Laden was on the payroll..his family was flown to a dubi hospital the day of or the day after 911 when all planes were to be grounded!!! I’m interested in Atta’s payment right before 911!!! Has Bush started unpacking his new house yet?? just curious

  17. Sibel is the most “gagged” whistle blower in American history …her only crime was “speaking truth to power”…how dare she !

  19. Brian is RIGHT! Sibel Edmonds is a fountain of credible evidence; I too would like to see mention of her testimony concerning the events of 9/11. Obviously, her info alone is just the tip of the iceberg highlighting inconsistencies of the official government fairy tale.

  20. Sibel Edmonds is a traitor to the Republic of Turkey.

That is quite logical since it is not her motherland.
She is hiding from her true Iranian identity and uses her
Turkish one since she lived a few years in Turkey before
coming to America. Since Iranians cannot be trusted,
I doubt everything she says. So called agent.

  21. In Turkey, anyone critical of the ultranationalist party line is not merely in error, but is invariably a “traitor”. And, they qualify for death at the hands of the same self appointed guardians of the state. Hrant Dink, the 1,500,001st victim of the Armenian Genocide, received his punishment. His supposed crime was merely to think out loud and to say there was a Genocide in 1915.

As soon as Ms. Edmonds made her charges, the Turkish police left a note for her sister in Turkey to show up for questioning. The United States gave her asylum.

Ms. Edmonds’ affiliations with Turkey are unassailable. Her Uncle was the Mayor of Istanbul. You’ve heard of it. Nice burg on the water. Good fish places. Just don’t assume you won’t be murdered if you visit.

  22. Jda,

I am sorry to have to rain on your parade, but you are talking out of your rear end. And, it is not me who is saying this; it is Etyen Mahcupyan, the editor of Argos (Armenian paper published in Istanbul).

Here is the link where he says it:

    http://www.kurdistan-post.com/modules.php?name=Niviskar&op=viewarticle&artid=1850

    This is what he says:

“[..] Bu ille de doğrudan direk Ermeni sorunuyla bağlantılı bir cinayet degil bence. Ermenilerle ilgili bir durum değil bu cinayet. [..]”

There. If you can read Turkish, you’ll see that Mahcupyan does not believe Dink’s murder was NOT necessarily related to the ‘Armenian problem’; nor it has any connections to the Armenian issues.

But, don’t let this stop you.
