Long-time readers will remember that he and Huckabee were consorting together not too long ago, which may be part of the reason for Huckabee’s weakness in capturing much of the Catholic vote in the primaries.

It was advanced by self-interested Catholic consultants, but it would require a degree of shared knowledge that it cannot be plausibly asserted. I would guess less than 3% of Catholics know of Haggee, let alone who he had endorsed, met, or raised money..

Of course there is a double standard. Anti-Zionism is political death. Farakahn could conceivably be called anti-Semitic. Haggee is a Zionist. By being black, it is implicitly assumed Obama is anti-Israel. Who knows how he would act in office in that regard? I can hardly blame you for assuming he would act as he has in the past and basically stated he would act in the future.
