Good Lord! I must appease the grammar gods: "loudly," and "writes."

My head droops in shame.

As loud as the most ardently Zionist sectors of the commentariat attempt to evoke fear of Obama, the polls show only a slight increment of Jewish support for McCain vs. BHO.

The New York Times editorial page is more prophetic for liberal Jews than Isaiah or Elijah, as Dennis Prager is wont to say. That Obama dined with Rashid Khalidi, or one of his advisers, who writes for the New York Review of Books, will have little electoral resonance.

The folly of most American Jewish voters began with their romance with Eleanor Roosevelt, and little has changed since then. The neocons remain soi-disant prophets, without honor in their own country. Their brand of folly has more influence elsewhere.
