However, if they can't continue with Saakashvili in power, how other than driving into Tblisi can they accomplish this? Fully intending to leave, I'm afraid now I can picture Russian (almost said Soviet) tanks in Tblisi, just waiting to install a pro-Russian "democratic" Georgian. I don’t doubt that Russia would enjoy a reasonable excuse to drive into Tblisi, but with everyone watching (unlike Aug 1 – Aug 7) that seems hard to manufacture.
