More On Iran

My column for The Week on Iran is now up. There is one thing in the column that needs correcting–I mistakenly identified the location of the SCO summit as Moscow, when it was, in fact, Yekaterinburg. I regret the error, and I will be getting it fixed.

Has anyone noticed the use of the Iranian flag under the shah in some foreign protests? I’m not quite sure thats the image anyone wants to project (it seems to me if you disliked the Islamic Republic of Iran, one would just simply choose to fly the tricolors alone, minus any central symbol).
