Re: More on Sarah Palin’s Linguistic Ineptitude

When Palin gave her first interview as a candidate to Charlie Gibson, one of my more irreverent friends remarked that he wondered if she was the one with Downs’ Syndrome.  At the time I thought this went over the line, but then after her second interview with Katie Couric I realized that it absolutely did not.

As for the whole kerfuffle, and what it says about the desperate state of the GOP, my dad actually had the best line - “Did you hear about the rumor of Mark Sanford’s affair with Sarah Palin?”

  1. I can’t wait to both volunteer and vote for Sarah Palin in the 2012 Republican Primary.

Oh wait….hmmm….maybe I’m being ignorant…hmmm…maybe I’ll vote for a free-trading pro-globalization world is flat NAFTA loving, H1B loving, Tom Friedmanesque Republicans like Romney, Newt, Jindal, Cantor, etc., etc., etc……ha ha ha…..nah…..

There’s only ONE Pro-American Candidate running and it’s not the Citizen of the World frauds that have infected the Republican Party (Romney, Newt, Jindal, Cantor, etc.). I can’t wait to both vote for Sarah Palin and volunteer for her campaign. The Citizen of the World types who love the H1B, love NAFTA, love having government run by Corporate lobbyists and pay lip service to us on gun and abortion issues have had their day in the sun. Goodbye you’re no longer welcome. You should start a Citizen of the World Party and see how many votes you get you frauds.

  2. Three cheers for your father, Jack!

  3. Tom, I’m not entirely sure what Palin’s views on NAFTA are, other than that, purportedly, she wasn’t sure as to which nations comprise this treasonous agreement, but I do know that she agreed to be the running-mate of one of these sell-out pro-globalization Republicans, which seriously hurts her credibility, at least in my conservative eyes.

I’m not at all sure why’d you’d suggest that Jack or anyone else at Post Right, or anywhere at TAC, should start a Citizen of the World Party. While Governor Palin is busy proclaiming that Alaska’s mission is to contribute to America (Whatever the heck that means!), we’re generally a motley bunch of localists here, as far from pro-globalization as one can be.

Your loose handling of reality on proves that you and Governor Palin are a match made in Perdition, doomed to the deepest pits of political irrelevance.

  4. I don’t think Gov. Palin would make a great Jeopardy Contestant. But, I do think she has uncanny political skills and she is pro-American. The Republican Party is filled with pro-globalization, pro-NAFTA, pro-H1B, Pro-Jart-Celler citizen of the world types. Sarah and Todd were supporters of Pat Buchanan back when he ran against George HW Bush. That’s good enough for me.

  5. When McCain first announced her, I was thrilled, especially, but not only, when I learned that she (at least allegedly) has supported Buchanan. I’m not convinced that, for reasons of expedience or because she’s had a sincere(ly stupid) change of heart, she hasn’t sold the American of the Buchananite vision down the river, though.

  6. My assumption is that her core supporters are so alienated from blue state America that they can’t think straight.

  7. The question should be “Would Sarah Palin be good for the USA?” The leader of the US must acknowledge and abide by the constitution. S/He must work within its limitations. For so long, our government has granted itself powers while decreasing freedoms for the people. Because we have gotten use to our government running away with our liberties, we are not sure how to take Sarah Palin.
